About the MENA Tour Qualifying School
The MENA Tour Professional Qualifying School was introduced in 2016, to establish how Professional players, not otherwise exempt, will be ranked on tournament entry lists through the season. Player entry will be by ranking based on MENA Tour Qualifying School results. To enter the Qualifying School, players are required to complete the entry form which will be available on the MENA Tour website: www.menagolftour.com from Saturday February 5th 2018. Please note that participation in the Qualifying School will only be confirmed when the full payment has been received, subject to available spots. Total amount of spots available at the MENA Tour Qualifying School, together with the number of playing cards available, will be confirmed and posted on the MENA Tour website after the close of entries, but will be a minimum of 50 (Fifty). The Qualifying School is open to Amateur players who meet the MENA Tour handicap requirements. Pursuant to the Rules of Amateur Status, as approved by R&A Rules Ltd, an Amateur golfer may compete in any qualifying competition for a Professional Tour without breaching the Amateur status rules, provided that, in advance of play, and in the writing, the player waives their right to any prize money in the competition. This form will be available at player registration. An Amateur playing the Qualifying School is playing for a Professional ranking on the MENA Tour. Following completion of the tournament, the player will be allocated a Professional ranking, he may however, opt to remain as an Amateur.

The 2018 MENA Tour Qualifying School, will be played over 54 holes of stroke play. All competitors will play 36 holes over the first two Qualifying rounds. The top 70 will proceed to the final qualifying round. Following the final Qualifying round the successful graduates shall be eligible for Category 7 membership of the MENA Tour for the 2018 season. Players that do not gain a graduate place, will be eligible for Category 12 membership of the MENA Tour for the 2018 season, providing they have made the 36 hole Q-School cut. *Category 12 – (Players in this category will be ranked in accordance with their finishing position at Q-School). Players that do not make the Q-School 36 hole cut, will be eligible for Category 12.1 membership of the MENA Tour for th 2018 season. *Category 12.1 - (Players in this category will be ranked in accordance with their finishing position at Q-School).
The first 120 confirmed entries, will receive a place in Qualifying rounds 1 & 2, after these entries have been received, additional entries will be placed on a waitlist and may be subject to a Pre-Qualifier for remaining places. The tournament committee however, reserves the right to adjust the number of places available if deemed necessary.
The top 5 players will share a prize fund of US$6,000 with the winner receiving US$2,250, in addition, they will also receive complimentary MENA Tour membership for 2018.
The MENA Tour Qualifying School is open to: (i) All Professional golfers . (ii) All International Amateur golfers with a Maximum handicap of 1.4 . (iii) All MENA National Amateurs with a Maximum handicap of 4.4 (An Amateur does not have to go through Qualifying School to enter MENA Tour Tournaments, but is subject to eligibility).
Entry Fees: The entry fee for Qualifying School is US$500. (Payment options are listed on the electronic form.) Entry deadline is 3pm UAE time on TBA 2018 (Draw will be published on the Mena Tour website: www.menagolftour.com after registration on TBA) Any player not registered by 3pm on the day of registration will be removed from the draw. Withdrawals A player may withdraw at any time, provided notification is received by the MENA Tour, withdrawals prior to the Entry Deadline will receive a full refund of the entry fee. Players who withdraw after the Entry Deadline, but before close of Player Registration, will be entitled to a 50% refund of the entry fee.
Procedure for tournament entry to the event immediately following the Q-School for Qualifying School participants:
Entry for this tournament will be opened to Q-School participants only, for 48 hours after the conclusion of the Qualifying School.
