MENA GOLF TOUR TOURNAMENT ENTRY CONDITIONS
The following conditions are applicable to regular MENA GOLF TOUR tournaments:

2013 MENA Tour Membership (Professional) - $750
Tournament Entry (Professional) - $50
2013 MENA Tour Membership (Amateur) - $100
Tournament Entry (Amateur) - $25
Applications for membership are taken solely online, through our online forms placed throughout this site.
Once an application is received, it is submitted to the Tour Commissioner for approval.
Upon approval, account log-in information is sent via the registered email with further instructions on payment for annual membership and entering tournaments.
All membership payments and entry to tournaments are processed online, securely through our payment gateway.

The following conditions are applicable to regular MENA GOLF TOUR tournaments:
Format
Each tournament will be a minimum 54 holes stroke play event.
1. Tournament Field
- A standard starting field for a tournament will be 120 players including invited MENA members and host countries.
- The standard field 'make-up' shall be 60% Professionals & 40% Amateurs.
- In the event of being oversubscribed, a qualifying round shall be staged the day before the first round with the available number of qualifying places announced prior to the round. (See 3.g)
- Exemption category entries are exempt from Pre-Qualifying. List of exemption categories can be found in the tour hand book.
- Players will play one round on each of the first two days, after which the leading 50 players and those who tie for 50th place, will go forward to the final round.
- The end of season Tour Championship shall contest the top 40 professionals and the top 15 amateurs from their respective Order of Merit (OOM) who have completed a minimum of 60% of MENA Tour events during the current season. There will be no 'cut' in the Tour Championship. Pre-Qualifying exemption does not apply to the tour championship.
2. Ties
- In the event of a tie for first place, there will be a "hole-by-hole" play-off, to determine the winner.
- If a play-off involves more than two players, those other than the winner will be deemed to have tied for second place regardless of their scores in the play-off.
3. Tournament Entry
- Tournament entries are for approved members only including invited MENA members and host countries.
- All tournament entries are to be completed online through the official tournament website.
- Tournament entries will be open from February 1st 2013.
- Tournament entries will close two weeks prior to the start of each first round. Entries will only be accepted by fully paid up MENA TOUR members.
- Any cancellations five days prior to the first round of each tournament shall forfeit their entry fee.
- In the event of entries exceeding the maximum field for the first MENA Golf Tournament, the first 110 (65 professionals & 45 amateurs) including exempt status entries, will automatically be accepted with the balance competing in a pre-tournament qualifying event for the remaining ten places (5 professionals & 5 amateurs, should there be a shortfall of amateurs, then this will be made up by additional professionals).
- If entries exceed the allocated numbers after the first event and thereafter, the leading 34 professionals and ties and 24 amateurs and ties from their respective OOM, Exempt status members and MENA Region invitees & Host Country Invitees shall be exempt from qualifying, with the remaining ten places (50% professionals & 50% amateurs) available through a pre-tournament qualifying round.
- In the event that any OOM Pre-Qualifier is unable to play, then the place will be offered to the next player or players on their respective OOM.
- i. In the event of an insufficient number of amateurs, the remaining places shall be made up from professionals on close of tournament entry dates.
4. Pre-Qualifying
- Pre-tournament qualifying will take place the day before the tournament first round whenever possible.
- The format may be Tee-times or Shotgun depending on course availability, numbers, light etc.
- Ties will be settled by sudden death play-off, or in the case of shotgun start, by score card play-off, with the lowest back 9 score winning, should this still not produce a winner then, the last 6, last 3,2,1 holes will decide. If a clear result is still not produced, then the committee will resolve the issue at it's discretion by way of Chip-off/toss of coin or suitable alternative.
5. Prize Money
- Prize fund breakdown shall be distributed in accordance with the official breakdown.
- Prize fund is applicable for those professionals who make the 'cut' only.
- All prize funds shall count towards the Order of Merit.
- Prize money shall not be awarded to a player who has been disqualified.
