About the MENA Golf Tour
We are pleased to announce the second edition of the MENA (Middle East & North Africa) Golf Tour, an initiative by the Shaikh Maktoum Golf Foundation.
With support from the Arab Golf Federation and R&A, the tour is aimed at the best MENA amateur and professional players, along with eligible players from the around the world.

The creation of the MENA Golf Tour opens up new windows of opportunity for MENA professionals and amateurs to develop their golfing skills, alongside international players on home soil.
With large prize funds and World Amateur Ranking points available, the MENA Golf Tour provides a unique platform for success and development.
Who is eligible to join the MENA Golf Tour?

Who is eligible to join the MENA Golf Tour?
The tour is open to all MENA nationals, and international, professionals and amateurs.
Amateur golfers must be of handicap 1 and below on joining the tour, as well as at the commencement of each tournament.
Separate membership applications are available for amateurs and professionals..
Tournament Field & Format
Each tournament will be a minimum of 54 holes, stroke-play event.
Players play one round on each of the first two days, after which the leading 50, and those who tie for 50th place, go forward to the final round.
The standard starting field is 100 players, consisting of 60% professionals and 40% amateurs.
The official season runs from January to December each year, and culminates with the Tour Championship.
Order of Merit

ABOUT SHAIKH MAKTOUM GOLF FOUNDATION
Set up under the auspices of golf in DUBAi in 2006, the foundation works out ways and means to create healthy playing opportunities for both professional and amateur golfers
The Shaikh Maktoum Golf Foundation is committed to continually identifying and nurturing the talented youth in the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region with the aim of producing a future generation of champions.
It aims to grow the platform of golf with a specific focus on the region, the foundation will create new windows of opportunities for all emerging MENA national professionals and amateurs which will not only hone their golfing skills, but will also enhance the overall development of golf in the region.
Named after His Highness Shaikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the late Ruler of Dubai, the foundation seeks to provide MENA talent with an environment in which they can grow, express themselves both personally and professionally and realise their dream of representing the country one day.
The foundation also intends to provide scholarships to emerging players from within the MENA golfing ranks to help hone their skills and build a strong pool of players which is paramount to producing future generation of champions.
The overriding theme of the foundation is to drive the game to a new level in the MENA region.
